How storage works
Think of a home battery as a rechargeable energy tank. Your home uses the solar electricity it needs during the day. With a compatible installation and controls, spare electricity charges the battery. Later, the battery supplies some of your household demand, reducing the electricity you buy from the grid.
For example, if the panels generate 600W while your home uses 200W, around 400W is available to charge the battery, before losses and system limits. The grid provides any electricity your solar and battery cannot cover.
Can I charge it overnight?
A compatible system can charge on a cheaper electricity tariff and use stored energy later. Savings depend on your tariff, energy use and charging losses.
Which size should I choose?
SuperStore is the smaller option. MegaStore can hold more energy for homes with greater spare solar production or evening demand. A larger battery needs more electricity to fill; an 880Wp solar kit will not necessarily fill either battery every day, especially in winter.
Capacity and power
kWh describes how much energy a battery stores. kW describes how quickly it supplies energy. A larger storage capacity does not automatically mean it can run more powerful appliances.
Installation and backup
Storage requires compatible equipment, controls and suitable electrical installation. Contact us for advice for your home. Power-cut backup needs a suitable separate backup connection; it does not automatically power the whole home.

Storage is currently unavailable to order online. Contact us about availability and installation. Batteries are sold separately from the solar kit. Battery delivery details are provided before purchase and are separate from the solar kit’s 10-day estimate.
